The idea of Halva Kingdom was born in Morocco in 1947, where the grandfather of Halva Kingdom founder worked in making traditional home made halva. After relocating to Israel the family settled in the old city of Jerusalem, where the grandfather continued to manufacture halva. The grandfather transferred his knowledge and technique to his grandson which established Halva Kingdom in Mahane Yehuda market.
Then Halva Kingdom decided that the time was right for a branding process, which resulted in this unique, hand-crafted visual identity.
This one-of-a-kind style draws it’s inspiration from the fascinating world from which the halva came from: the market streets’ loud atmosphere and bold, catchy signage, all handmade and exquisite, diverse but somehow existing in it’s own harmony, like the halva itself. Complimenting the traditional way this superb halva is made, the design elements were hand-crafted and all of the titles and texts on the packages and signs are letters drawn individually by hand.
Quickly, the Halva Kingdom established itself as one of the market’s main attractions, known for its exceptional quality and shopping experience. Regular clients from all over Israel and around the world make their way to the market’s quaint passageways to enjoy more than 100 types of fine halva.
